w32.winiga

Just plugged in my USB drive, and Symantec detected this. I don't plug this drive in anything other than my computer and tv. Wtf?

dump the usb drive and get a new one. maybe its somehow compromised. could it have had malware loaded on it from factory?

They are so cheap now days you can get them for 5-10$. Better safe than sorry.

Run malware-bytes and https://www.hitmanpro.com/en-us.aspx

Nah have been running this drive for years.....
Could the malware have been in the tv? coz the tv is connected to the net, and I only recently accessed the net on the tv

If it only goes between the TV and your computer, your computer is the likely source ...
